The Braun series 9 is still the best men’s electric razor and number 2 on my list. It’s an advanced and great rotary electric razor that has all of the latest features you can get from the electric razor of Braun.

Buying Guide

There are countless websites that sell these razors. The good thing about buying online is that you can read the complete description before you buy it.

Here are some very helpful pointers that will help you but the best electric razor.

  • Self-Cleaning Technology:

These shavers are quite popular with all men as they require no maintenance and are super easy to handle. These are ideal for men who are working professionals and who do have the time to shave the conventional way. Men with sensitive skin should buy these razors.

  • Cordless Razors:

This is a popular choice for men who would want a very smooth shave within a short time. These razors are ideal for those who have to travel a lot.

In fact, you can even give yourself a shave when you are at the bus stand.

  • Budget:

Before you go out and buy an electric razor you must finalize your budget as it will help you narrow in on your choice amongst all the different brands.

You can come across many models that are priced reasonably and perform well so you do not have to settle for expensive brands.

  • Battery Power:

Nobody likes to be stuck with an electric razor that constantly runs out of charge to make sure that the battery is a powerful one. For this, you will need to read the description carefully before buying one.

  • Ergonomic – An ideal shaver should be light in weight, must not slip when you shave with your wet hands and easy to maneuver. Plus, it should be able to move along the contours of your face. This is why I ask you to select one with care.

Is the electric shaver difficult to use?

First, I hope that with the electric razor you also bought some essentials, such as a soap and a shaving cream…

When you have your first shaver and it’s set up nicely. The next thing you ask is “what is the best way to use an electric razor?” And the answer is simple – check this information!

Use an electric razor is actually really simple! Getting started is super easy! I have listed different methods above to help you, depending on your demand.

Electric razor devices are trusted by millions of people all over the world, who use it daily as a part of their studies or work.

You should read the manual carefully before using. You have to understand what the machine does, how it is made to use it well!

In my opinion, do not use a dry shaver in water. After shaving, you should remove all shaved hair from the machine.

Do not clean the blade of the machine too much, once a week is enough. Some expensive machines have self-sharpening mechanisms so you don’t need to worry about it being blunt. Do not use the machine to shave other things! This needs attention.

But then again, all the decision is yours and yours alone. As long as you end up with a high-quality electric razor product, it doesn’t really matter where you buy it from. Or if you’re a beginner shaving, there’s no need to go expensive – something from Braun, Remington, Philips Norelco, or one from my list of the best affordable electric razor will suit you well, whatever style of razor you use.

What I Look For When Reviewing Electric Shavers?

When I review electric shavers, I scrutinize everything from the quality of the brands used to achieve a smooth face, to the price. I’ll also rate the looks and the style, even though this is generally a matter of my personal taste.

The value of the electric shavers will also be an important factor that will contribute to the overall score. Why do I say that? Because spending $100 on a product that functions like a $500 shaver is always something that can’t be ignored!

And so I rate the best electric razor and the best brand shaver list in the same way. With every new line I add and review, I update the top list 10 rankings. If you want to follow up-to-date, then make sure you visit this blog on a regular basis to see the latest information in the shaver world!

I really like Braun shaver. One of my friend own a Braun series 7. It is very expensive, it is great, he’s happy with it, but you don’t really need it if you don’t have a dense beard. There are much cheaper options.

After using Braun series 9295cc for a while, I came back with the series 9290cc shaver. Sometimes, not every higher version is better, I think that.

As you may have seen in other comments, the shaver that I recommend is the Braun series 9290cc seen here: https://upshavers.com/braun-series-9-9290cc-review/. The Braun 9290cc can also be used for body grooming, however, when it comes to the nether regions, the 9295 blade is way too sharp and not something I would ever recommend someone using down there. which offer a more skin-friendly option as opposed to going in with a sharp blade.

Hopefully, as I continue to review new products, I will come across one that fits the bill.
Thanks for watching and being a member of the Upshavers.com Blog!

Yes, the 9295cc series, as I thought, is not as good as 9290cc’s although its price is “softer” with the 9290cc version. You can read reviews about the 9295cc model here.
Thanks for your feedback, next time I will evaluate the version 9296cc from Braun. Please follow Blog Upshavers.

      Nice day!

My old Philip shaving trip was also packed after a few years when I chose brains 790cc, I found my decision to be correct, despite the high price but worth the money. Its design is neutral and quite masculine and excellent (as I feel it is).

Hi there, that’s why I rate Braun in my first list, Braun is always reliable and beautifully designed. However, if anyone has a budget under $100, Braun must not be their first choice.

Thank you, I have tried all of these from the cheapest at $50 to the most expensive at $ 300. The most electric shaver expensive I think wasn’t any better than the cheapest one. Only decent electric shaver I have found is the one used in hospitals to shave patients before surgery. But unfortunately, I see they do not sell them to the public. I finally resigned myself to manual shaving.

Thanks for this article, as a black man, I’m curious if other men of color have more experience with some of the rotary blade models? My fear is that my beard hairs would be too curly to find their way into the channels which is typically the case even with my foil equipped Braun series 7 shaver, but anyway, the sliding long hair trimmer works well enough at trimming them down that the foil can then make quick work of the rest.

Whereas all the Philips Norelco electric shaver seems to have that pop-out long hair trimmer that seems like it would be quite a bit less effective for me. I would love to hear others’ input. Maybe, my fears are completely unfounded and irrational and I’m missing out on the best shave experience ever.

What do you think of the Waterflex Braun shaver? I have a beard like that. I see the Waterflex the performance is like a series of 3 or 5 series Braun shaver?

Really, I did not want to spend so much money on a Braun series 7 (or series 9) so it is important your opinion to see what I do.
Thanks for all. This a great post. Cheer.

Hi there. To be honest, I haven’t bought and tested the Waterflex Braun, however, they do seem to have some good reviews. In looking at the specs, and the designs, I would imagine this to shave similar to a Braun Series 3, or the Braun CoolTec. So for guys with thick beards, maybe you will probably want to upgrade to the Braun Series 7 or series 9 as I reviewed. I would recommend this for people with medium beards who want to shave wet of those. If you have a similar beard like me, I would upgrade and tested them. If you go with this, I would guess that you would need to use shaving it daily to enjoy it. Nice day 🙂

With series 9, I bought this electric shaver as a Christmas gift for my father who wears a mustache, beard and shaves his head each day. My dad absolutely loves model series 9290cc from Braun brand and it gives him a close professional shave each day! It was a little pricey but extremely worth it! Braun 9 is really is the best electric shaver to close shave

Foil electric shavers are all I used since I’ve discovered them a few years ago. I always used shavers before that – expensive and messy with the water and shave gel. Electric shaving is so much easier. I only rarely use shavers now unless I want to get a very close shave or line up my beard. Thank for your reviewd

Braun series 7 is the best electric shaver I have ever used although quite expensive however well worth it. Very close and comfortable shave. Use easy on the skin even under the chin and is very quiet.

The article is great, my face is quite sensitive and I need a product from Braun. I had a hard time with my old shaving machine, Philips, which was harder to clean and harder to shave than I thought. Anyway, my budget is not important when choosing the best electric razor. I hope you will respond to this comment because I want to buy it before Easter this year.
    Thank you.

Sorry for today I can answer your feedback. Have you bought a shaver that is right for you?

If not, in case of your sensitive skin, I suggest you use Philips Norelco 8900 shaver, or if your budget is less than $ 100 modestly, the Braun series 3040s is not too bad.

I’ve been using Panasonic wet/dry razors for over 10 years. I felt never had any problems and blades often last over a year. This shaver model shaves close and is not at all irritating to the skin. I always use these shavers wet with soap as the lubricant. LV95 – Great razor

I’m definitely not ideal for this, but you could get decent results if your hair is really short. Many electric shavers will miss long, curly, fine hairs. I think with a body groomer would be a much better choice.

I’m so surprised how little attention has been paid to the fact that some electric razors don’t work when they plugged in. The battery will die anyway in ~ 5 years (showing reduced power after more three years), and the versions that work cordless only will become useless. Other models shaver may be still be used as plugged in for the next 10 years. To be honest the cords don’t disturb me a lot, as in 99% of cases I use the electric shaver in a place where there’s AC power available. Yes, cordless gives more freedom but I don’t want to buy a new shaver every 5 years.

That’s correct, most of today’s electric shavers won’t work when plugged in. I just say only a handful of older, dry only models and most of them are being phased out. The battery should last for quite a few good years and in the case of the more popular electric shaver models

After reading your blog post, I browsed your website a bit and noticed you aren’t ranking nearly as well in Google as you could be. I have a discontinued Remington shaver that has a vacuum to catch my stubble. Even the battery is wearing out, but its holding on the good. Maybe, I will use to have good results with the Braun series 9. Thanks so much

Braun shaver lines have done a much better job for me on shave than Remington or Philips. I would guess that if we all want a close shave, my recommendation would be to spring for a double-edged safety razor. So long as u switch out the dirt-cheap blades regularly, it should largely take care of the issue. And it’s vastly cheaper in the long run than models.

Just as I was starting to choose between Braun 9290 versus Panosonic lv95, I saw that Costco has a Series 8 for $169. Would you pick a Braun series 8 or the lv95 for the same amount of money. Light beard: shave daily
